RAGNAR Relay 2008 - Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC

183 miles - 12 runners - 24 hours.
This is an interesting idea.
Running all day and night.
Team vans driving all over the place supporting their runners.
No sleeping, bad eating, throw in some rain and it makes a story to tell.

Friday Night and the Olympics

Adam and I are watching the Olympics tonight. Sam disappeared into Dad's bed and passed-out. Poor little guy. Adam and I are looking forward to seeing Michael Phelps trying to win his 7th gold medal tonight.
We are also working on our second night of playing the same Monopoly game. The boys can't stayed focused long enough to get the game finished.
I'm planning on getting a digital camera soon so I can start adding photo's again.
...Adam just passed out on the couch.

Inside Day

Nasty weather today! What a shame, it was so awesome yesterday.
So, the boys have found some indoor activities,
and Dad will tackle this.
I'm staying-up with the laundry.
I'm even putting it away in the boys' rooms, but it's gotten away from me on my dresser. Posted by Picasa

Life's Simple Solutions

  • This was remote control HELL!
To play a DVD, we needed all three.
Those days are gone - forever.

This little baby does everything the four above do.
Also, to play a DVD, you only need to push one button.
    That button will:
Set the TV to correct video output.
Turn the AMP to the right sound input.
    Start the video.

    AWESOME! I have issues - Don't I!

Pumpkin Carving

Don't let the spoons fool you.............once they saw the inside of the pumpkin, they wanted nothing to do with scooping the guts out. Such tuff boys! They did collaborate on the face design. I thought the ears were a nice touch.

They are looking forward to Trick or Treating. I hope the weather is good. We don't plan on staying out too late since it's a school night. On Monday night, we're going to a haunted house. Adam is scared, he'll probably be thinking about day and night. Sam has no clue what it is, so he is excited.

The decorations are nothing great, but they are more than what everyone else in our court has. Mr. Bones is hanging on the front door too. Posted by Picasa

Costume Mania

Here is entry #2. Tomorrow (Friday, 27 Oct), the boys have a lot fun scheduled. Adam and his classmates are having a harvest party. There is supposed to be a lot of food, with Adam bring a veggie tray - He probably won't eat any of though.
Samuel's class is having a party too. It's not a Halloween party because some parents voiced their 'displeasure' over such a thought, but the kids are wearing costumes and eating candy. Call me old fashioned, but that sure sounds like what I did for 'Halloween' when I was a kid. Sheez!
Anyway....we had to have a dress a rehersal the night before. Sammy decided to be a Red Batman - I think he pulled it off very well.
Adam, of course, wanted to try his costume on too, but he didn't want to put too much work into it by going to his room and getting a pair of pants. Jack Sparrow - lookout.
I think they would have slept in them if I let them!
They are awesome boys. Posted by Picasa
